Having not posted in a while, with half term and many busy moments with my kids….I thought it was about time to start sharing new insights I am having with essential oils.

Aromatherapy benefits are not new to me, but the full benefits and the different ranges of oils that can be used is and so i’m excited about sharing my recent insights into two particular oils; Frankincense and Myrrh.

After hearing about the benefits that Cancer patients have been having with Frankincense on The Truth about Cancer, Global Quest episodes produced by Ty Bollinger, my curiosity and open mind decided to explore the benefits for myself.

Now, you probably know already that Frankincense and Myrrh were two of the treasures presented unto the baby jesus…..but in all honesty you probably don’t know much else. Well in the research that I carried out, albeit brief….I found out that Frankincense oil can be inhaled, diffused and can be effective at relieving stress, anxiety and mental peace, promoting healthy cell regeneration….and if this wasn’t enough I also found that Frankincense oil is useful for skin health, treating dry skin, reversing signs of ageing and can reduce stretch marks and scars.

These benefits are only the start…but enough for me to make my mind up and trial this ‘golden’ oil.

Most of you probably know that I suffered from infected eczema on my hands and having had this condition for many years now, I found that going vegetarian, green and clean, cutting out dairy completely reduced the symptoms of itching and flair-ups and now after about a year of clear ‘normal’ hands I have found that my symptoms are only elevated when my hands get wet, dry and cold (normally in the winter months)…. lately I have suffered slightly and I guess I underestimated how cold it has been in the UK.

Convinced that Frankincense could resolve my problems I decided to produce my own blend of cream, inspired by The Global Quest episodes, consisting of Organic coconut oil, Organic Shae butter, Organic Frankincense and Myrrh oil.

Having had dramatic changes using the cream on my hands, I’m now deciding to use this on my face, where I have suffered acne scars in the past. I’ll keep you posted of any changes, but so far so good…..feeling positive!
